Information we collect
- Usage & device data — collected automatically via analytics (pages viewed, approximate region, device/browser type), in aggregate and not used to personally identify you.
- Trip-planner inputs — the travel dates and party size you enter are stored in your own browser (see below).
- Account data (optional) — if you create an account, your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Messages you send us — e.g. email to info@orlandocompass.com, used only to respond.
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage. It sets cookies and is processed by Google under its own terms; we do not use it to identify individuals. The site also uses a small same-site cookie and browser local storage to remember your trip-planner selections. You can block or clear cookies and analytics via your browser or extensions without losing core site functionality.
Cookie controls & Do Not Track
You are in control of cookies. Most browsers let you block all or third-party cookies, clear them on exit, or browse privately; you can also use browser extensions to block analytics. Blocking cookies does not break the core guide — at most the trip planner will not remember your dates between visits. Because there is no industry-standard response to browser "Do Not Track" signals, the site does not currently respond to them differently; the cookie controls above are the reliable way to limit collection regardless of any DNT setting.
Affiliate & third-party links
