Epic Universe is a grown-up's park too
Epic Universe is not just for families. For adults and couples it offers the best theming and detail of any Orlando park, a strong coaster lineup, and — unusually for a theme park — genuinely good food and atmospheric bars. You can spend a day here as an adult and never feel you are at a "kids' park."
The theming and the thrills
Adults who appreciate design will be most struck by the immersive worlds: the 1920s-Paris streets of the Ministry of Magic, the gothic Darkmoor village of Dark Universe, and the landscaped beauty of Celestial Park. On the thrill side, Stardust Racers and Monsters Unchained are standouts, and the headliner dark rides (Mario Kart, Battle at the Ministry) are technical marvels worth experiencing regardless of age.
Dining and bars
This is where Epic Universe really rewards adults. Atlantic (upscale seafood), The Oak & Star Tavern and Blue Dragon in Celestial Park give the park real sit-down dining, and the themed Le Cirque Arcanus in the Ministry of Magic is an experience in itself. Atmospheric bars — including the Burning Blade Tavern in Dark Universe and the bars of Celestial Park — make it easy to slow down with a drink. Book a table-service dinner to bookend a day of rides.
How adults should plan the day
Without kids you have flexibility: rope-drop the headliners, then shift into a more relaxed gear — explore the theming, eat well, enjoy the bars and re-ride favourites in the evening when waits drop and the park looks its best after dark. A couple can comfortably do the park in a day at a civilised pace, or stretch it over the two-day itinerary alongside the wider resort.
Pairing with the rest of Orlando
