Overview
Disney's Pop Century Resort is one of the most popular Value resorts at Walt Disney World — a fun, larger-than-life celebration of 20th-century pop culture, with giant icons (a four-storey Walkman, bowling pins and Rubik's Cubes) dotted around the grounds. Refurbished rooms and a standout transport perk make it punch above its price.
Location, transport and rooms
Pop Century's big advantage is the Disney Skyliner gondola, which whisks you to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios quickly and scenically (buses serve the other parks). Rooms are compact but were recently refreshed with a modern, practical look and queen beds. Like all on-site resorts it includes Early Theme Park Entry.
Who it suits, pros and cons
Best for couples, smaller families and value-minded guests who want the on-site perks and the Skyliner without paying Moderate or Deluxe rates.
Pros:
- Skyliner to two parks.
- Fun theming and refreshed rooms.
- Strong value with full on-site perks.
Cons:
- Large and can feel busy; bus transport to other parks.
- Food court rather than table-service dining.
- Standard rooms are compact.
Our recommendation
Orlando Compass recommendation: Pop Century is our pick for the best all-round Disney Value resort, largely thanks to the Skyliner. Larger families wanting a suite should look at Art of Animation next door; the absolute cheapest is the All-Star Resorts. Compare live rates below.
